Spiritual blessings make us holy

God wants His children to be holy. http://www.dianedew.com/holiness.htm (I would encourage all to read this article on holiness) He blesses His children with spiritual blessings so that they can be holy as He is. His children must seek and ask God to bless them with spiritual blessings, that they may walk in holiness and enjoy the heavenly life that God wants us to enjoy. It is opposite to the pride of life, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes. These desires are carnal and we must crucify our flesh of these, pray for deliverance.

God fills us with holy desires because of His grace. (deny ungodliness, ungodly desires of the flesh) Earnestly contend for the very best gifts – of The Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 11:2 – 5 Speaking of Jesus but 11: 2 – 3 speaks also of all they who have the Spirit of Christ, The Holy Spirit.

11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

11:3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

11:4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

11:5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
