Faith endures sufferings

by Esther

Dear brother

I seek to show you what The Word of God says about what you are going through. The Word will show us what is truly going on in the spirit, and by the knowledge we will no more lean on our own understanding but trust Him with all our hearts. The power of His Word sanctifies, purifies, heals, divides between truth and error.

Following Jesus (The Good Shepherd leading His sheep that know His voice) is a step by step walk of faith in Him (obedience to His Word and commands). The Holy Spirit gives us His Word and The Word  sanctifies(cleanses) and works sanctification in our inner man until we are perfected and should be a holy and Bride of Christ, blameless, without spot or wrinkle, presented to Himself for the day of the wedding. (John 8:31-32, John 17:17,19, Eph 5:26-27). For The Word to abide and bring forth fruit in man, it needs to be sown on good ground (of a single heart toward God). Sanctification is a process of cleansing of God’s Temple (our bodies) by the washing of His Word, and this is a continuing process. When we walk in the Spirit, scripture explains that we will not sin because indeed we (((cannot))) sin, for The Holy Spirit leads us to The Cross to die to self and by grace we overcome the lusts of our flesh, choosing instead to suffer with Christ than yield to the temptation. Temptations and evil thoughts are not sin if we do not entertain but take it captive to obey The Lord, according to His Word. When we endure through the temptation, choosing to suffer, we will find the way of escape that He provides because of His grace. We should pray for more grace in trials and temptations and stand upon The Word of our faith, as these are the weapons of our spiritual warfare. An abiding relationship with Christ, holding a good conscience with Him makes our faith steadfast and unmovable. When we get to know Him, we will trust in Him more and more. Thank God for these tests that will make your faith, as long as you stay in the battle! You will overcome! (after you have done the will of God, He will establish you…)

We bear fruits of The Holy Spirit when we walk in the Spirit Gal 5:16-24 and the deeds of the flesh when we walk according to its lusts. We must make no provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts. Rom 13:14. Consider this as an example of walking in The Spirit, obeying His commands: When trespassed, we kindly forgive, when ridiculed, we bear patiently, when accused, we justify not ourselves but trust in God who judgeth righteously, when reviled we revile not back, we turning the other cheek for the sake of Christ – all these leads us to suffering in the flesh, even as Christ suffered, that we might have fellowship of His sufferings, and to get to know Him, learn of His Ways, even as He learned obedience through His sufferings – Heb 5:8, 1 Pet 2:21-23, Isaiah 53:3-7. 1 John 2:6. If we suffer with Him, we will also be glorified with Him. Walking in The Spirit crucifies our flesh. To be led by His Spirit, one must yield in true humility to be broken vessel in The Hands of The Master Potter, willingly falling on the stone and to be broken by that stone. Luke 20:17-18.  The stone is Jesus Christ – His Truth, His Way, His Life. In the weakness of this brokenness, The Lord’s Strength is being made perfect in us. We are in a good state for His molding and making of us into a vessel that is honourable for His use. This is the will of God, that we be changed into the image of Christ Jesus, to be perfect and holy as our Father is perfect and holy.

Christ’s yoke is light and easy because He is meek and lowly. He wants us to learn of Him, His meekness and lowliness, selflessness, by coming to Him with all our burdens and surrendering them in exchange, laying them down at His Feet not taking them back again, and taking His yoke upon us (Our life in exchange for His Life), He promised that by doing this we will enter into His rest for our souls. We walk in the newness of life of The Spirit, and are changed from glory to glory, as we decrease, more of Jesus is seen in us. We bear fruits of The Spirit and we will see the nations that were once a burdensome yoke upon our shoulder (The Assyrian) be destroyed, little by little, until all are destroyed.

Be encouraged. Your brothers and sisters in The Lord are going through the same sufferings. We must learn to overcome all things in Christ Jesus, stand by faith upon His every Word, to endure to the very end of our salvation. Fixing our eyes on Jesus (look not to self, but reckon it as dead) the author and finisher of our faith, we march right on to lay ahold of The Kingdom, striving lawfully, to attain that prize – to fulfill our great and high calling in Christ Jesus. The Lord will succour us at every step. What you say is true – it is a serious fight for our souls, we cannot afford to lose in a single temptation or trial, we need to put on that armour and having done all that The Word says, to stand in faith, and see the arm of The Lord helping us, the arm of His salvation. He is for you and not against you. Pray through to His Presence, build up your faith upon His Word, and always maintain a good conscience with The Lord.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 8Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 10But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:6
